WHY TEST MY WELL WATER?
What to test for and why . . .

Many of the tests performed for private water supplies are used as indicators of water quality. If these results vary from the expected average, they can tell us which test to run to determine the exact problem. For more specific questions, contact the Winnebago County Health Department Laboratory.

Eligibility	• All residents of WinnebagoCounty and all other counties

How do I get services?	Sterile sample bottles can be picked up Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Water Samples can be dropped off at our Division Street Location, as well as, WCHD Outreach sites (please call the laboratory for date, location and time to pick up bottles and drop off water samples for the Outreach sites). • Click HERE for Laboratory Policy to Accept or Reject Water Samples
Hours	Monday through Wednesday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for drop-off at Division Street. No water samples are accepted on Fridays.
