Hotel/Motel/Rooming House Program 

Winnebago County has approximately 63 hotels, motels and rooming houses. These facilities are inspected at least once a year for cleanliness, sanitation and the safety of guests and residents.

All hotel, motel and rooming houses in Winnebago County must have a current permit to operate.

Apply at Environmental Health, Room #205 at the Division Street location.

HOTEL/MOTEL permit renewals are mailed in October of each year and are due and payble no later than December 1 for the next calendar year.
